Meet Max & Daisy
Max, who sometimes goes by his stage name "Max Kitty Mountain Kat,"and Daisy are full time residents at Skyview. Max is super friendly and Daisy likes to keep to himself. They will be around a lot during your stay but will not be a bother. We leave food at the cottage for Max and Daisy and we will need your help to feed them during your stay.
The House
Skyview Mountain Cottage is located in the beautiful North Georgia mountain city of Ellijay. We are located just 75 miles North of Atlanta but you will feel like you have truly escaped to a different world. We have created a unique retreat space that caters to groups of up to 17. The cottage is situated on about an acre of land and is on a wooded, and private corner lot. The wrap-around porch offers different areas for enjoying an outdoor meal, relaxing on the porch swing, or taking in the beautiful mountain views at sunset. Roads & Parking
The roads all the way to the front door of the cottage are paved. They are well maintained by the community's roads and grounds crew.
There is ample parking on the property. There is space for up to 15 cars. We also have walk in loading access to the craft room located on the terrace level of the house. The folks who have the bedrooms on the upper level can easily unload their crafting supplies on the lower level and then park near the front door and unload the rest of their supplies and luggage.
The Accommodations
The cottage sleeps up to 17 people quite comfortably. You can see the layout and sleeping arrangements for each bedroom in our photo gallery. Linens, towels, and pillows are provided for up to 17 guests for a two-night stay.
BEDROOM #1:
There is one king bed that sleeps 2 in the master bedroom which also has a big master bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also a cozy sitting area for relaxing or reading a good book.
BEDROOM #2:
In the guest suite, there are three individual twin beds to sleep a total of 3 which also has a large bathroom with a dual vanity.
BEDROOM #3:
This bedroom is located on the lower level of the house next to the craft room. This room has 4 individual twin beds to sleep a total of 4 people. There is room to store luggage and still be able to move around comfortably.
BEDROOM #4: (only available for groups of 10 or more)
The "Bunk Room" can sleep a total of 8 guests in custom-made, built-in bunk beds. These beds feature individually controlled lighting and each have a power outlet to charge electronics or run a small fan for personal comfort (provided for each bunk). These bunks also have a built-in shelf to store personal items within easy reach. Each bunk in this room has curtains that can be drawn for additional privacy.
All of the beds have thick, luxurious mattresses that just may make it difficult for you to not sleep in. Each room has an oscillating fan and room heaters to adjust the temperature to your liking.
